Tokyo Japanese Cuisine in Prince George

It's not a fancy place but I like the food here. Not pricy and taste pretty good.

Have been going here for years when it was Tokyo Sushi and loved it !! But the new owners food is fantastic !!!! Good prices and top-notch food...Honestly I love it !!! Best little Sushi Place in town !!!

I love sushi, I do. I crave it like a drug. This place is near me so I decided to try it. From the moment I walked in I felt uncomfortable, the server paid me no attention, nobody else in there. When she did notice, not friendly or welcoming, gave me a menu and walked away. I had a dynamite roll and a spicy tuna, it was so bad I couldn't finish it, just putting it near my mouth made me nauseated. Chalked it up to the flu, after reading the reviews on here. Went back a year later, had one of their combos. It was a lot of food, but again, I couldn't even look at it. Every bite was gross, if this had been my first experience with sushi, I would never have tried it again.

I cannot recommend this place enough. Great food at great prices! Food is fresh and portions are large and delicious. Some people don't like that the rolls are a bit delicate, but it's because they are stuffed so full that the seaweed can hardly close. The owners are extremely friendly and make you feel welcome. We eat a Keto diet so they accommodate us by making cones without rice. We get our Japanese fix without the carbs.

Always friendly service and amazing sushi

Picked up a to go meal on the way to the airport. The food was still nice and warm when I arrived. The rice was perfectly sticky. I would definitely stop by here again if I'm back in town.

Best little place to go, amazing food. Dont expect fancy, just good sushi and good people.

Im not one for raw salmon so i order california rolls and These guys have the best california rolls i have ever had !! And whoever i share it with thinks the same,Price is under 6.00 and you get 8😎 well done chef!

Absolutely awful, fish was bad, nigiri was frozen and if it was up to me I wouldn’t have paid. It’s a mockery of Japanese food and I am never going back. I would’ve been glad with just walking out as I couldn’t eat anything but my girlfriend reluctantly paid out of the kindness of her heart. 0 stars is what it deserves,

Basing this review/opinion on the quality of the food, not the eat in atmosphere of the restaurant itself. Tokyo is hands down the best you can do locally when it comes to all the different types of sushi you can enjoy in Prince George. One of the main things that make Tokyo better than all the others is consistent product! Always fresh, and always as ordered.

I have nothing but good things to say about this place, by far they have been the friendliest staff I've ever encountered in any sushi restaurant I've been too. They also have the best agedashi tofu dish, and I have tried various forms of this dish from around the province. 👍

Tokyo is my favorite sushi restaurant in Prince George. Their sashimi is always fresh, never fatty tasting. Grace is a sweetheart and Peter makes all the sushi rolls. Their prices are also very good.

This place looks like a little hole in the wall from the outside, but their sushi is delicious and the service is great. I regularly eat here due to the fact that they have fair prices and the sushi is always excellent. The restaurant is definitely outdated and due for some renovations, but dont let that scare you off!

Food is very clean, good quality ingredients. Not fancy sushi but good quality fish that tasted fresh. I would recomend.

The service here is awesome. I drop in to get some dinner to go and I'm given a complimentary green tea. Spotless place. Friendly staff. Lastly but most importantly the quality of the sushi is great for how affordable it is.

If you factor in that I'm grading this against restaurants in Vancouver this is pretty good (in Vancouver they would be about a 3 to 4 star). They offer fresh food and very good customer service. The only part that they need to improve on is the quality and preparation of the rice.

The outside is definitely deceiving and at first glance I wasn’t sure if it was even open. Lucky for me I tried the door anyway! The food is great and reasonably priced for the large portions. The staff was very friendly too. Everyone should give them a try!

Absolutely amazing sushi!!!! I have eaten at every other place in town and was extremely disappointed and this was my last chance and have since been back a few times and will be my regular go to spot!!!!

Loved the food! I got a salmon Bento box and I ate everything. The miso soup was lovely. The salad dressing was packed full of flavor. Sushi was great. Only thing negative I'd say is the noodles were the standard you get in chow mein from Chinese food places. The waitress was really great. Friendly. Even called me back when I told her I was walking, just to make sure I didn't get lost.

The waitress always remembers our usual orders. This restraunt has a nice atmosphere, the food is always consistently good, and service is good.

Sushi did not taste fresh, low quality, the dishes look unwashed, the water was lukewarm and very chlorinated, and they forgot some items we ordered. The staff are friendly, though.

I pop by this restaurant from time to time and, to be honest, the food has always been fresh and the owners have always been friendly and actually remember me! plus, the sushi is pretty big! Nice little gem of a restaurant!

Great food for a fair price

No wow factor, but very large portions for the price (not too much rice either, lots of fish which is great!) I caught them during a huge rush with a large 8-party group among four more tables of couples, however they did their best to quicken my take-out order (30 minutes). For a tiny mom & pop shop, they are working very hard just the two of them.

I went with my mum yesterday, and we both found it extremely delicious! We are big fans of Japanese food and eat it regularly. We loved how the vegetables had a slight crunch in our dishes, (a soup dish for my mum and a noodle one for me) and everything was extremely fresh. The waitress was very attentive and prompt, and didnt mind going back to the kitchen numerous times to get answers for our dietary questions. A very lovely meal! We plan to go back 🍱🍵🍲😋
